Q. During this time period (the 1974 war), was there anything special
that
stands out in your mind about the media (radio, television,
newspapers, etc.) or the way media was used in your family or by
your friends?
Yes. There was radio and newspaper. But they weren't enough
to give correct information about the war. For example, when
Greek
soldiers occupied an area and we didn't learn "what happened
those
people?" Because radio and newspaper didn't give the real news.
On my opinion, media wasn't enough to collect all the news during
this time period.
Q. Did you have any thoughts or ideas or feelings or
emotions at that time?
Yes. At that time on the island there wasn't enough media
and
it wasn't developed enough during this time period.
Q. Did these thoughts or ideas or feelings or emotions
help
you in any way?
Yes. Because I always said there was not enough media and I
studied more than before for more developed and powerful media.
Q. Did the media help you in any way at that time during
this period?
Yes. The media helped me but not enough. I learned
about the war situation and heard the events.
Q. Were the media a problem for you in any way at this
time
period?
Yes. Because the media wasn't enough during this period.
They
couldn't collect the correct news.
